Company Description

The client is a global wind power solutions company engaged in the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of wind turbines for both onshore and offshore applications, serving utility companies, industrial clients, and governments across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. With over 130 GW of cumulative installed capacity worldwide, the company is a leading wind turbine OEM and has been a driving force in global decarbonisation efforts since its formation through a major industry merger in 2017. Its value proposition centres on high-capacity offshore platforms, an extensive service coverage network, and a strong position in markets including the UK, Germany, and Denmark, with a growing presence in Taiwan and the United States.

THE CHALLENGE

The client faced a dual constraint: tight budgets with limited flexibility, and a complex visa landscape across two markets that created uncertainty around candidate start dates and eligibility. These factors had previously disrupted planning and slowed delivery.

OUR APPROACH

Spencer Ogden took time to understand the client's true budget parameters and where flexibility existed. Roles were fully qualified against contract start dates and durations, and the team invested in understanding the visa application process in both markets — enabling the team to provide accurate, realistic timelines to the client from the outset. Weekly check-ins ensured alignment and quick course-correction where needed. Candidate sourcing was adjusted to prioritise fit within the revised budget without impacting margin.

THE RESULTS

  • Six contractors were placed in South Korea within one quarter, with further placements pending
  • Improved visa application timelines, giving the client reliable visibility on start dates
  • No project delays resulting from candidate unavailability or visa issues
  • Margin maintained despite budget adjustments

Spencer Ogden supported us in delivering critical project hires across Japan and South Korea despite tight budgets and complex visa requirements. Their ability to provide clear timelines, fully qualified candidates, and consistent communication gave us confidence throughout the process.

They enabled us to maintain project momentum with no delays, while balancing cost and quality effectively. Their approach has made them a reliable partner for our regional hiring needs.
