Company Size: 50–100 Employees
As an emerging company in the Critical Minerals sector, the client needed to attract senior leadership talent while simultaneously building out specialist contractor support for its projects. The highly specialised nature of the sector made sourcing difficult, and the client lacked the market reach and networks to identify suitable candidates independently.
Spencer Ogden was initially retained to fill the VP of Operations role. Following a thorough briefing, an assessment of available talent and target organisations in the region was presented to the client. A multi-channel sourcing strategy produced a shortlist of six qualified candidates. An offer was extended to the preferred candidate within three weeks of the initial briefing. The success of this placement led to two further VP-level retained searches — General Counsel and VP of Investor Relations — both filled successfully. Spencer Ogden also placed two specialist contractors — an HSE Advisor and a Project Engineer — providing the client with expert support on a flexible basis during the project development phase.
Spencer Ogden supported us in building both our leadership team and specialist project capability at a critical stage of growth. Their ability to identify and secure high-calibre VP-level talent, alongside flexible contractor support, was key to our progress.
They demonstrated strong market insight, pace, and consistency across multiple hires, delivering successful outcomes every time. This has developed into an ongoing and trusted partnership.
