Start Date: March 2026 

Pay Rate: 80000 per annum

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager with deep expertise in contract negotiation, deal structuring, and commercial risk management for Wind and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role will be primarily work closely with sales, legal, finance, and technical teams to structure commercially sound agreements with clients, EPC contractors, OEMs, and key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end commercial negotiations for Wind and BESS projects, from preferred bidder stage through to contract signature
  • Negotiate key commercial terms including pricing structures, payment milestones, liquidated damages (LDs), performance guarantees, warranties, limitation of liability, and termination rights
  • Structure and negotiate EPC, EPCM, turbine supply, BESS supply, O&M, and LTSA agreements
  • Identify and assess commercial and contractual risks during bid and negotiation phases, proposing mitigation strategies and fallback positions
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of risks related to schedule, grid connection, performance, interface management, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear commercial recommendations and risk positions to senior leadership for approvals
  • Support bid and tender processes with commercial reviews, pricing risk analysis, and contract strategy development
  • Coordinate internal approvals and governance processes to support efficient and compliant deal closure
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities
  • Manage external advisors where required (legal, commercial consultants) to support negotiations
  • Maintain strong internal alignment across sales, legal, finance, and engineering teams during negotiations

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, with 5 years’ experience in commercial management, contract negotiation, or deal structuring within renewable energy, infrastructure, or EPC projects
  • Strong understanding of project contracts, risk allocation, and commercial frameworks
  • Demonstrated track record in negotiating and closing contracts for Wind and/or BESS projects
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
